Eagle Camp Testimonials
He had a GREAT time at camp. He came with some hesitation. He complained that he wouldn't get to sleep in, that it would be too much like being in school, that he didn't want to work that hard. He didn't want to do the pre-req's when I made him sit down for an hour at a time and knock them out. He came home thrilled with all of his hard work, proud of himself for doing it and having learned a variety of subjects he previously had no knowledge about. He enjoyed meeting other scouts and getting dessert with every meal (it takes so little to make him happy). He'll be a good advertisement for Eagle Camp for his other troop members and, as one of the oldest troops in Ga., our troop has graduated a lot of Eagle scouts. He'll be very proud to add himself to the wall of Eagles.

I just wanted to send you all a quick email, while it is fresh on my mind, about what a wonderful time my son had at Eagle Camp. I've counted 11 completed merit badges and 2 partials. With about 8 more weeks of recording exercise and finances, he will have completed his two remaining Eagle required merit badges. His Board of Review for Life Scout is next week with his troop and he should be an Eagle Scout when he's 14 years old. I'm extremely proud of him.

To all Eagle Camp Staff: My Son on went on and on and on about stories from camp. He raved and raved about it. He has never had such good things to say about this kind of an event that was so challenging. You guys must have figured out a way for them to have a lot of fun while working them so hard. Kudos! The boys apparently got along really well. Thanks again for all of your hardwork and organization of such an event. Our boys are lucky to have this as an option for them.

I received my packet from Eagle Camp yesterday at our Camporee. I was pleased with the blue cards and paper work that I received. I would also like to take the time to say thank you to you, and all of the other counselors that spent the time to help me fulfill my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.

If you go, BE PREPARED to earn badges, obtain certificates, stay busy and have fun. Once you apply, you will get a listing of the pre-requisites you will need to do BEFORE attending camp. If you get the work done, you are all but guaranteed the badge. Some badges, Family Life, Phys. Fitness, that take months can be started, and you will complete these on your own.

Again, I can't tell you how really great the camp was. My son had a really good time, with a lot of accomplishments. He's already finished three more from the partials you all sent home. He'll bring and turn these in at Spring Camporee for signoff. (And maybe more! We'll see.)

I must admit I did not know what I was signing my son up for when we sent him to Eagle Camp. He came home with three required merit badges, two optional merit badges and many more partials. He accomplished more in one week than the whole last year. Thank you for your time and dedication to this program, I know he worked hard, but he also achieved a lot personally.

I wanted to personally thank each of you for all the time, effort, and work you put in to make the camp last week such a success. I appreciate everything you did to make sure my son completed as much as he could in the week he was with you. I, more than anyone else, can understand how much patience is needed to work with XXXX. Each of you are very special people. You not only have the patience of a Saint, you give of yourselves without hesitation, and continue to do so. We are very fortunate to have each of you in our District. "Thank you" seems so simple to say, but these are sincerely the two words I give to each of you.
